Hi Kav,

I took DD100, the 60 pointer introduction to Social Sciences, a few years ago and I have to say it was really interesting and as I hadn't studied for many years before that I was a little nervous. However, I soon got into the swing of it and the best thing was the discussions and debates at tutorials as people came from all backgrounds and had different viewpoints to bring to the table. It was good natured discussion and not at all heavy. Enjoy!

Mike :]

Hey Guys

I am also starting DD101 in a couple of weeks as well.

Ive just finished Y178 which is an openings course "Understanding Health"

I have nothing but praise for the Open University so far as my experience of studying this way on the opening course has been fantastic.

I think this 60 credit course is going to be a step up on the intensity level but i cant wait to get started.

Does anybody know whether on this course we get to got to any face to face tutorials or get to meet any of the other people studying.

It would be great to meet other people studying this course.

I live in Chichester, West Sussex.  Is there anybody nearby studying DD101?

Hi Kav.

I'm staring DD101 at the end of this month. I'm apprehensive but also excited to get started.

I haven't studied for a couple of years so I imagine it will take me a few weeks to get back into the swing of things.

I wish everyone the best of luck :)

Claire

Hi there

I am also starting DD101 in January. I am looking forward with both anticipation and dread at taking on yet another commitment. I just hope that I can find enough time to put into this.

Hope the course is enjoyed by all, and that we can support each other.

Hi all
I too am starting DD101 at the end of the month having just completed Diplomas in Criminology and Psychology. I am very apprehensive now and wonder if I have done the right thing plunging for degree study!!

I received all my books DVDs n CDs yesterday and have to say I am a little daunted but I am sure it will be fine.

It would be good to keep in touch if people are up for that.

Good luck to you all and speak again soon

Hi everyone,

Was it just me that went "OMG!" when the packs arrived!  Am feeling so nervous but excited at the same time.  I'm a working Mum (p/t) of two boys and on various committees so am hoping I've haven't taken too much on.  Did the Y183 Intro to Psychology before this so hoping it'll help.  Anyone from the West Midlands area?  And by the way, good luck everyone!
