The OU are currently hoping to recruit invigilators who would be interested in supervising examinations at the centre we use in Paris who have the following qualities:-
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication/interpersonal skills; particularly the ability to reassure students who may be anxious or distressed
- Ability/ willingness to follow instructions, but are also able to work on your own initiative when required
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to impose authority when required
- Ability to work under pressure
Examinations are held in April, June and October. A Senior Invigilator is appointed at each centre to conduct examinations according to University rules and regulations and, dependent on student numbers, assistant invigilators are appointed to support the Senior Invigilator.
