The next meeting for C E C Observers will be March and so if you want to go from your region / nation you could see whether your region / nation is one of those sending an observer.
This could be a useful one to attend because it is the last one before Conference 2012.
So if anyone wants to go from the D S G please add your name to this thread or the thread in the members D S G forum and more information will be forthcoming as and when we get it.
Just to add, the role of observer to C E C is usually reserved for people who haven't been before. It's a really interesting weekend, you get to meet the people representing OUSA and see how they work and what they do. It's not often that we get to meet other students as distance learners.
If you have mobility or other problems, you can apply for facilitation - things like having a wheelchair available for your arrival to help you get about, hearing loops, a double room if you need to take a carer - the documents can even be provided in large print or ring-bound if you have problems holding books open. And although you won't have a vote, you can speak up and have some input into the meeting. But that's not at all compulsory.
For more information, join the thread in the members D S G forum or this is Jen Snow’s email address, she went last year and has lots of helpful information if you wish to ask in confidence.

Update on the C E C observer thing. The D S G has had it's quota for this year but if anyone is going from their region or nation, and can bring anything back that is disability related that would be great. Is anyone going? Details below.
The next C E C meeting is 2-4 March and begins about 7;m on Friday until Sunday 4th at 1pm. It will be held at Kents Hill Training Centre, opposite the O U Campus in Milton Keynes.
