hello ,julie,cmv-omsk,tracy,pog451,mo61i
I´m happy about your response, and i really appreciate it more than anything else.
OU had really shaped my prospect and i have commited everything i have to it.
You see in my country we are experiencing educational meltdown whereby universities and colleges were not well equiped enough to train students but i thank God OU gave me an oppurtunity in life ,although it´s not easy but with my universal solder mentality i was able to stand on my feet.
I will be glad to hear from all you most especially on your culture.
my email address is santosadedayo@yahoo.com

Best regards
from

Hi Everyone.

I am an expat living in Portugal and starting A172 Start Writing Essays in February. This is my first foray with the OU. I don´t think there are many people studying with the OU in Portugal, or am I wrong? Good luck to everyone who is starting a new course.

Hi all!
I am a reverse ex-pat! I mean, I am Belgian but I am living and working in the UK. I am, like the Americans like to say, a legal alien.... : )
I am doing a degree in Business with Accounting at the moment and I have just started B680, the longest and most difficult one I have done so far!

This is an interesting thread. I´m Britsh and a bit of other things, but living in Berlin. I´m about to start an MA in Philosophy. The European fees are, quite possibly, going to kill me, but I´ll try to survive. I´m extremely glad to have the OU platform to communicate with others.

I´ve studied with the OU in England, and didn´t mind being fairly distant from other students. But somehow, now, I feel different being in another country. I feel isolated. Strange, the mind and how it works.

New Years´s greetings to everyone, and the best of luck with your 2009 courses!
Alis
