I'm doing K101 in February too. I struggle to find these forums though, I usually find them by accident. If you want to add me on facebook we can chat more easily http://www.facebook.com/helen.rutter1 and there is a group there too for the K101 Feb starters.

Welcome to the OU newbies! And fear not, you'll soon get the hang of study and there are plenty of people in the same boat as you to offer support and motivation.

Good to hear from you all - and good luck!

Robyn

I'm also starting the K101 next month.  I've just started reading the course materials that arrieved in the week.  Now that I have had a good look, I am a lot less worried that I was a couple of weeks ago!

Has anyone else had problems with the K101DVD (not the welcome dvd)?

Good luck everyone.

I'm doing it too and I'm a newbie!  I'm really excited but scared that I may have bitten off more than I can chew as I had a baby 9 weeks ago and am a single parent.  I'm determined to do it - just need to get into more of a routine. :)

Rachel Coombe - Mon, 16/01/2012 - 22:32

Hello everyone, i am also starting the course next month. My study pack arrived last week and has confused me already! Although i am very excited to start this process, i have a long road ahead of me (working towards the degree) but i am hoping my recent NVQ 2 work will help me. I work full time in a care home so my knowledge should also help me but i also want to do my NVQ 3 alongside this!

Good luck to us all!

I am hoping to make connections with people doing the same course, that way we can help eachother :) please feel free to contact me via email jessica_hobson@hotmail.com :)

Hi Ali,

Glad Im not the only one who's finding it all a bit daunting at the moment. Do you have any Idea how we go about finding out who our tutor is?

Jase

Alison Gasson - Mon, 23/01/2012 - 00:16

 Hi Jase,

That's what iv'e been trying to find out. I think some people have received an email with their tutors details but iv'e not had one.

Jenny Bond - Mon, 23/01/2012 - 09:32

Hi Alison, Jason

Yes you are right your tutor will be in touch by email (usually) ahead of the course in plenty of time before the start date. It's a good idea to keep checking student home as well for more information relating to your course, emails, forums.

Best of luck - sure you'll enjoy your course!

Jenny, Platform Team
