Where abouts are you through your BEng, and what modules have you chosen to achieve it?

Hi Stuart,
I'm in the same situation - coming from an electronics background and having to focus on software modules to build my BEng degree. I definitely would not say that my study with the OU has been a waste of time; I have found my skills in all areas of engineering and problem solving have benefited. It has also helped with my job prospects.
You can have a look on the engineering team website for some details of the BEng pathway: http://engineering.open.ac.uk/
Also you can send an email to engineering@open.ac.uk and have a chat with an advisor there about your options.
There are big changes happening at the moment, a lot of modules are on their final presentation in 2014. Some will be replaced, others will be updated or kept the same, and some new ones may appear. It would be a good idea to talk to the engineering team to get the full low down.
