Hi, I'm new to Open University, I am hoping to do B62- Computing and IT, but its been a long time since studying so i have opted in my path for an opening course first-Starting with Maths (Y182) which starts in March 2012. Then I hope to do My Digital Life which is a Level 1 course and hopefully if all goes well, take it from there.. Just wondering if anyone is doing Starting with Maths (Y182) on their planned route to doing B62- computing and IT (BSC)? Thanks :-)

Welcome to the OU! I started last year with T175 and M150 earlier this year working towards the B62 degree. So far I am finding it really good. The TU100 (My Digital Life) which you are hoping to do replaces the T175 and M150 that I have already done.
Not sure if you know about the different things that are available on the way to getting your degree. For example when you have done the TU100 you can get a Certificate in something or other! Not sure what its called or the code because they have just replaced it. You can also get a Diploma after completeing the Level 2 modules! Well worth registering for them as it gives you an interim qualification!
Hope all goes well with your studies and don't be afraid to make use of your regional centre and the forums that are available to you! Help is always there if you need it.

Hi Laura, I'm going along the same route as you, starting with (Y182) in March 2012 then (TU100) in October and working towards a BSc but I'm not sure which path yet. It's been 20 years since I last studed but I'm loooking forward to it.
