Betty Boothroyd collection

Betty Boothroyd and her mother celebrating an election win Baroness Boothroyd of Sandwell (1929-) is well known as the Speaker of the House of Commons from 1992 to 2000.

As Chancellor of the Open University from 1994-2006, Betty Boothroyd donated a collection of papers to the University Archive. The papers are largely based on her time as Speaker, but also cover other political work.
