The Associate Director (Planning & Resources) is responsible for ensuring the Institute and programmes are able to function effectively.
The key posts in the management of the Institute are the Director, the Associate Director (Planning & Resources), the Associate Directors who lead the two programme strands, and the Senior Client Partner.
Planning & Resources is the equivalent of the Deanery in other Academic units and consists of four teams:
- Planning & Resources team provides support for management of the Institute including project support (provided by the IET Project Support Office) as well as specialist IT support and running the Jennie Lee Building Research labs.
- Curriculum Management team supports the Institute’s taught course provision, including curriculum and policy development and the management of each of the Institute's taught postgraduate modules
- Learning & Teaching Development (LTD) team provides expertise to assist with learning and teaching development activities in IET. The LTD team have a list of publications in the Open Research Online database at LTD team's publications in ORO
- Learning & Teaching Technologies team provides programming and web based services for the full range of IET Learning, Teaching and Research activities and also leads the technology strategy and policy for IET.
The IET Senior Client Partner brokers relationships with other faculties and units across the University and liaises closely to ensure that the projects requested by the University are carried out successfully. The Senior Client Partner role is designed to enhance and protect the reputation of IET which influences the University’s Learning and Teaching Strategy.
