Studying with The Open University in Greece
Our flexible distance learning means you can study in Greece, in your own time, without giving up work or family commitments. We offer short courses taking no more than 30 hours, Bachelors and Masters degrees, postgraduate diplomas and an MBA.
The Open University has been operating in Greece for 16 years. We started with just 50 students but now have over 470 students studying from Greece. They are studying a wide range of subjects with the most popular being Psychology.
Students are supported by Open University Co-ordinator, Julie Oldroyd. Julie has been living in Greece for 22 years, having come here as an English Teacher for one year but never returned to the UK! Julie is an OU graduate herself, with a BSc Hons in Social Science and an MA in Social Policy and Criminology. She lives and works from the island of Aegina.
As Open University Co-ordinator, Julie's role is to provide information to enquirers but also to support students in their studies. In Greece we offer study skills workshops, course choice advice, support with any study issues and much more.
The Open University Student Association (OUSA) is very active in Greece. When you register as an OU student, you automatically become a member of OUSA. Whether you are looking for support, have issues you would like to take up with the University, would like to get involved in student activities, or are simply wishing to socialise with fellow students, OUSA can help. They are also always looking for active students to help out in Greece. For more information please email Lorraine Adams: ladamt@ath.forthnet.gr
