Before you register for your Vocational Qualification
In order to complete a vocational qualification successfully you need to consider a number of factors. To do this, we ask you to complete the relevant pre-registration assessment questionnaire from below.

Recognition of prior learning
If you have previously completed units from an NVQ qualification that can be matched to units on the QCF qualification you would like to register for, then you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning (RPL).

How to register
Please ensure that you have read and understood our Conditions of Registration. This booklet forms part of your Registration Agreement and it is advisable to keep a copy for future reference.
Please print out and complete the VQAC Registration Agreement Form.
It is essential that you complete and sign all sections fully to avoid your registration being held up.
We regret that we are unable to accept any Registration Agreements received by fax or email. We therefore ask you to send your completed agreement forms by post to the address below. Any Registration Agreements that are received in the centre by fax or email will be destroyed in accordance with the University's Data Protection policy.

Prices and how to pay
Prices for our qualifications are detailed on the individual qualification information.
If your employer is sponsoring you they can pay by cheque or card at the time of registration. Alternatively we can invoice them as per the details supplied by you on your registration form.

If you are paying for the qualification yourself payments can be made by:
- cheque made payable to the Open University VQ Assessment Centre
- credit / debit card

In the Vocational Qualification Assessment Centre we will do all we can to provide you with services that meet their requirements however we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to provide all services requested. We will aim to give as much notice as we can of any limit on our services.
When you register for a vocational qualification, we will ask if you have a disability or additional requirement that might affect your progress. If you answer ‘yes’ we will contact you directly to discuss your requirements. If you have additional requirements and do not let us know, we may not be able to support you effectively.
We will treat all the information you give to us as confidential and will use it only to provide you with services as a learner.
