Contesting borderzones: mobility, security, citizenship

The Borders, citizenship and mobility cluster of the CCIG Enactments programme examines the contested politics of mobility by emphasising the importance of border politics. This focus on border politics is critical in understanding resistance to, as well as processes of, the governing of mobility through insecurity. The work on this programme thus seeks to understand border politics specifically in relation the creation, experience and challenging of dominant articulations of citizenship and migration across a wide range of sites. Various international workshops have been organised in relation to these themes, including:
