Centre for Citizenship, Identities and Governance
The Centre for Citizenship, Identities and Governance (CCIG) is a University designated Centre of Research Excellence
A video of Prof Tania Li's entire keynote address 'To make live or let die? emergent assemblages for the protection of surplus populations', which she gave at the recent CCIG Forum 10, is now available to view online.
Drawing upon a number of case studies from an Indian context, Professor Li analyses the conditions of possibility for such interventions and how they become articulated and 'assembled'. As such it is essential viewing for those interested in theorising development, cultural politics and transformative political practice. The talk can be found here.
