Jef Huysmans has been awarded a one-year visiting Chair at the University of Namur

Jef Huysmans has been awarded a Francqui Chair 2011-12 at the University of Namur (Facultés universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix - FUNDP, Namur).

Francqui Chairs are prestigious one-year awards supporting participation of external academics in the scientific life of Belgian host institutions.

He will give the inaugural lecture “Security and democracy – towards a political reading of insecurity” on 13 February 2012 at 5 p.m. in the University of Namur, Belgium.
