The Centre for Citizenship, Identities and Governance (CCIG) is a University designated Centre of Research Excellence
Prof Jef Huysmans (Department of Social Policy & Criminology and Director of CCIG) is the new co-editor of the journal International Political Sociology.
The journal is top 7 and top 5 in ISI ranking 2011 in political science and sociology respectively. It is one of five journals sponsored by the International Studies Association, which is the biggest professional organisation of international studies scholars globally. Over 1600 libraries and 4000 individuals worldwide subscribe to the journal. The successful bid was submitted in collaboration with João Pontes Nogueira (International Relations Institute, PUCāRio de Janeiro, Brasil). They will jointly hold the editorship for five years starting from 1 January 2012.
