A series of workshops and panels are being organised by the Open University (CCIG), City University (Sociology), Oxford University (COMPAS), and Birkbeck College (Institute for the Humanities) on the relationship between human rights and citizenship rights.
On 26 February the first event was held. It featured a workshop on 'Rights: Citizen or Human? and public discussion panel 'After HUman Rights?' The even was organised by Engin Isin (CCIG) and Leah Bassel(City University). Both the workshop and the panel discussed the implications of the proposed British Bill of Rights to replace the Human Rights Act. You can find a podcast of the panel discussion here.
