Internal Corporate Governance Mechanisms and the Performance of Firms: Evidence from the UK Financial and Non-financial Sectors
I am looking at the link between internal corporate governance mechanisms and firm performance for UK listed companies. Specifically my research focus is to analyse whether or not operating and financial performance of firms vary with the level of compliance or non-compliance with the combined code provisions. Also another focus of the study is to analyse if there is any association between internal corporate governance mechanisms and firms' survival or failure during the recent financial crisis.
