Biography

Mitchell is a Lecturer in Finance and Management at The Open University Business School and is currently a team member for the courses B841 Managing Financial Risk and BD 131 Introduction to Financial Services.  Previously, he served for over ten years at the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) culminating in positions as Managing Director, Risk Assessment and Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer.  Prior to his tenure at CDIC he worked in global credit risk management for one of Canada’s largest banks.  He holds a PhD from the Carleton University, Sprott School of Business in Ottawa, Canada and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
