International Advisory Board

The International Advisory Board (IAB) is advisory to the Dean of The Open University Business School, to the School Management Team and the wider University. The board represents the diversity that characterises the School and The Open University more widely, and provides the School with informed advice and appraisal from outside the University. The board also acts in an ambassadorial role for the School, providing input into the external promotion. The board serves as a bridge to those organisations and individuals who have an interest in the School and helps to increase external support for the School through development efforts with the objective of securing new funding.

  • Sir Emyr Jones Parry

    Chair of the IAB

    The International Advisory Board is chaired by Sir Emyr, formerly UK Representative to the United Nations and Political Director at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

  • Margaret Miller

    A business technology leader with over 30 years of experience, Maggie has a long and distinguished career in the technology sector in the UK and overseas.

  • Janice Bell

    Janice is a passionate business leader with an MBA from The Open University Business School. An expert in business management and transformational change, she has strong links with a variety of major UK and international organisations.

  • Sanjeeb Chaudhuri

    Sanjeeb is currently Regional Head for South Asia and Global Head of Marketing at Standard Chartered Bank. Sanjeeb is a member of Standard Chartered Executive Leadership Team and participates in the Global Talent Council. He is a member of the Consumer Bank Global Steering Group and a Management Committee member of Standard Chartered India. India is among the top markets for Standard Chartered plc globally. He is also a Board member of Standard Chartered Securities India Limited.

  • Andrew Craissati

    Andrew is a highly experienced investor and adviser. He operates across Europe and North America and with heavy experience of Asian markets.

  • James Crotty

    Following a career of almost 25 years with American Express James has recently taken on a number of board and advisory roles for a range of institutions in the financial services sector.

  • James Cullens

    In 2008, James was appointed Group Human Resources Director of Hays Plc, a global specialist recruitment business headquartered in London. James has a variety of board-level HR experience including appointments with Linde AG, a DAX 30 company, The BOC Group plc, a FTSE 50 company before being taken over by Linde, and with African Oxygen Ltd, where he was a Non-Executive Director.

  • Justin Jenk

    Justin possesses a particular set of skills and global experiences with a proven track record of value creation for enterprises across industries and geographies: acting as an advisor, CEO, board member and investor. In his current role as Senior Partner at Boreal, Justin provides investment & advisory support as well as management services to companies involved in a variety of fields worldwide.

  • Professor Vijay Kapur

    Professor Kapur is Professor of Marketing, Sales and Strategic Management in the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi and currently on deputation as Adviser to Vice-Chancellor, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). He obtained his Master's degree in Business Administration, with distinction, from the University of Delhi and his doctorate from the University of South Carolina at Columbia (USA).

  • Dr Arthur Langer

     Dr Arthur Langer is the Academic Director and Faculty member of the Executive Masters in Technology Management at Columbia University.

  • Richard Minoff

    Richard is a well-known brand visionary and global marketing and business strategist in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.

  • Jay O’Connor

     Jay is a non-executive partner at venture marketing firm Meanwhile and a consultant on reputation, risk and crisis communications.

  • Neil Passmore

    Neil is a Director in the corporate finance team of J.P. Morgan investment bank. He works across debt, equity, M&A advice and derivatives. He has a particular focus on natural resources and emerging markets.

  • Renzo Scacco

    Renzo has an extensive background in professional services gained from almost 20 years working with some of the leading global consulting firms in Andersen Consulting (Accenture), Price Waterhouse and Interbrand. He has also held senior strategy, corporate development and sales and marketing roles in the fast moving consumer goods and consumer healthcare industries in Australia and Europe, all of which have given him an international perspective to business.
